Emmy and Golden Globe award-winning, BAFTA-nominated writer-producer duo Harry and Jack Williams set up their independent production company Two Brothers Pictures in 2014. Since then, the company has gone from strength to strength, producing shows for Amazon, HBO, AMC, BBC, ITV and Sky. At the core of the slate is Harry and Jack’s writing partnership, with their first dramas for the company including BBC1’s One of Us and BBC1’s Golden Globe and Emmy-nominated drama The Missing. The Missing, which starred James Nesbitt, was also nominated for four BAFTAs, including Best Drama. This success led to a second series, starring Keeley Hawes and David Morrissey, which broadcast at the end of 2016 to critical and commercial acclaim.

Harry and Jack have only become more prolific since then, writing shows such as the hugely successful ITV suspense thriller Liar, starring Ioan Gruffudd and Joanne Froggatt. The first series aired in 2017 and as one of ITV’s highest performing dramas of the year, it went on to win the Best New Drama TV Choice Award. Liar returned for a second series in 2020 and has since been one of the most popular drama formats around the globe. In 2019, Harry and Jack brought back The Missing’s charismatic Julien Baptiste (Tchéky Karyo) for his own BBC1 series,Baptiste, as well as creating The Widow starring Kate Beckinsale for ITV and Amazon. 2021 then saw the release of a second series of Baptiste. In 2022, they went on to write the hugely successful series The Tourist for BBC1, filmed in the Australian outback and starring Jamie Dornan, which became the most watched television drama of the year. This Autumn saw the release of their black comedy thriller Boat Story starring Daisy Haggard, Paterson Joseph, Tchéky Karyo and BAFTA award winner Joanna Scanlan on which Jack and Harry made their directorial debut on the first two episodes. Following that, The Tourist made a comeback in the New Year for a second season, this time set in the Republic of Ireland.
Alongside their writing, Harry and Jack have also sought to nurture the best new writing talent. They executive produced award-winning comedy Fleabag, the second series of which was nominated for 11 Primetime Emmys. It won 6 including Outstanding Comedy Series. In 2019, the team worked with Gaby Hull who wrote thriller Cheat for ITV, Daisy Haggard and Laura Solon who wrote sitcom Back to Life and Tim Key who penned comedy shortWonderdate 2021 saw the release of Back to Life series 2 to critical acclaim. Most recently they executive produced Matilda Curtis and Ashley Storrie’s Glasgow based comedy Dinosaurfor BBC and HULU which is due for transmission this Spring.
