NEW YORK—August 16, 2023—Today, Prime Video debuted a first-look clip for One Shot: Overtime Elite, a high-stakes, character-driven docuseries that uncovers the devotion and resilience of Overtime Elite’s (OTE) players and coaches through every loss and victory—on and off the court. The six-part docuseries premieres September 5 with all episodes and features top-five NBA draft picks Amen and Ausar Thompson. One Shot: Overtime Elite is the latest addition to the Prime membership, with Prime members enjoying savings, convenience, and entertainment, all as a single membership.

One Shot: Overtime Elite explores the lives of OTE’s next generation of basketball stars from around the country, as they navigate through various challenges and grueling training in pursuit of a professional basketball career. The series will take audiences behind the scenes of a league that is disrupting traditional paths to the NBA and inspiring an entirely new generation of basketball players and fans alike.

Players featured in One Shot: Overtime Elite include:

  • Amen Thompson: Thompson was named to the All-OTE First Team after leading the City Reapers to the championship, where he averaged 16.4 points, 5.9 assists, and 5.9 rebounds per game during the regular season. He was selected fourth overall in the 2023 NBA Draft by the Houston Rockets, where he looks to make immediate impact.
  • Ausar Thompson: Thompson was named the regular-season MVP and has captured every MVP award at OTE in its first two seasons. He averaged 16.3 points and 7.1 rebounds per game last season, which positioned him to be the fifth overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, taken by the Detroit Pistons
  • Trey Parker: Parker is a high-flyer on the court, and his jaw-dropping dunks have been viewed by millions globally. He’s currently committed to North Carolina State University to play college basketball.
  • Somto Cyril: Boasting a 7’-5” wing span, Cyril also goes by “Baby Shaq” and has already shattered a couple of backboards. Originally from Nigeria, he is pursuing a second year at OTE to further develop before continuing his career at the University of Kentucky.
  • Jahki Howard: Howard is a dynamic playmaker and uses his length and athleticism to be disruptive on the defensive end and get his looks on offense. His biggest challenge is his off-court struggles to balance the mental side of basketball.
  • Bryce Griggs: Griggs is an elite ball handler and facilitator who helped lead his team to the Overtime Elite Championship in its first season. After going undrafted, Griggs is currently pursuing a professional basketball career.
  • Rob Dillingham: Dillingham is a 6'1" point guard from Hickory, North Carolina who joined Overtime Elite mid-season. A five star recruit committed who joined John Calipari's Kentucky team, Rob is the #3 point guard in the class of 2023 and #13 overall player
  • Eli Ellis: One of the best shooters in the country, Ellis is an elite shot-maker with deep range, defensive intensity, and court vision—despite being young and undersized. He’s out to prove doubters wrong, and he’s also known for showing his off-court personality to his thousands of fans online.

“As the live rights holder of Overtime Elite, this is a natural extension of our relationship with the league, and we’re excited to build upon the success of the inaugural season on Prime Video,” said Matt Newman, head of Prime Video Original sports content. “OTE has established a strong reputation as a next generation league responsible for producing basketball stars of tomorrow and we’re excited to give our audience an inside look at all the action on and off the court.”

This unfiltered series gives us an opportunity to show all the amazing things that happen inside the walls at OTE. It’s more than just basketball, and I’m excited for a larger audience to get to know our players, our staff and our program,” said Damien Wilkins, Head of Basketball and General Manager, OTE. “Developing young men, on and off the court, is our core responsibility and this series gives viewers an intimate look at the highs and lows that come along with that as they continue to chase their dreams”

Presented by Prime Video Sports, One Shot: Overtime Elite is executive produced by Marc Kohn, Dave Zigerelli, Matthew Fogarty, Bernard Worrell, and Chase Kenney.
