5x Comedy is an adaptation of the theatrical franchise of the same name, which has been a hit on stages in Brazil for over two decades. Created by Sylvia Gardenberg in 1995, the format was adapted into a TV series in 2021. Due to the great success of the first season, whose theme was the social isolation caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, the series was given a second season.

Choosing the return to work as its theme, the new season of 5x Comedy will turn its camera on types of jobs that are in tune with current times. A suburban eyebrow designer, a charismatic celebrity dog agent, an irascible 15-year-old millionaire entrepreneur, a vengeful telemarketer or a canceled TV host will be some of the creatures that will lead us through unthinkable universes. In keeping with the format, in addition to its own story, each episode will have its own director, writers and cast.
