Nathan Mitchell stars as Black Noir in the Amazon original series The Boys.
In addition, he recurs as Zion Miller, Ginny’s father, in the Netflix series, Ginny & Georgia.
Ironically, Mitchell’s path to performing started as a young child whose mom wouldn’t allow him to watch Power Rangers because it was too violent. He might not have been allowed to watch the popular series, but that didn’t stop him from drawing all the characters, cutting each one out and making them fight each other. Where there was a will, there was a way. Born in Toronto and raised in Mississauga by parents who hail from the Caribbean, drawing became a passion along with Tae Kwon Do and basketball.

Mitchell was accepted into Cawthra Park Secondary School’s Regional Arts Program for visual arts, but it only took him one semester to realize he was more of a performer than a painter. He switched his focus from visual arts to drama and never looked back. After high school, he went on to university at Ryerson’s RTA Production program, graduating with a BA and moving to Vancouver one year later. From there, his acting career began to take off.
Mitchell is best known for his recurring role on Supernatural. Other credits include appearances on Arrow, Motive, Psych: The Movie, iZombie, Timeless and a supporting role in the MOW Twist of Fate, for which he received a Leo Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor. His feature credits include Scorched Earth and a lead role in the movie Marine 5: Battleground.
