Kara Young was born and raised in Harlem. She recently played the lead in Hair Wolf, winner of a 2018 Short Film Jury Award at Sundance. Young’s television work includes “Random Acts of Flyness” (HBO), “The Punisher” (Netflix) and four seasons of “Girl Code” (MTV). Young’s theater work includes “Revolving Cycles Truly and Steadily Roll’d” (The Duke on 42nd Street), “Cullud Wattah” (The Public Theater), “Syncing Ink” (Alley Theatre, The Flea Theater), and “Pretty Hunger” (The Public Theater). She is a LAByrinth Theater Company member and an original member of the Thania All-Stars.
