Joshua Rofé is an award-winning documentary filmmaker currently directing/executive producing Lorena. In the past few years, Rofé has created two profound documentaries. The first, Lost For Life, is a story about juveniles serving life in prison without parole. His second documentary, Swift Current, is a story told of former NHL hockey player Sheldon Kennedy, who was sexually abused by his junior hockey coach and has become one of the world's leading advocates for abused children.

That film was produced by multiple Academy Award winner Mark Jonathan Harris and Geralyn Dreyfous (Born Into Brothels, The Invisible War, The Square), and filmmaker James Gray (The Immigrant, The Yards). Rofé received the Rising Star Award at the 2015 Canada International Film Festival for Swift Current. Recently, A&E made an eight-episode order of a doc-series based on his first doc-feature, Lost For Life, currently in production for A&E, which Rofé is executive producing.
