Cast Detail: Anzi Debenedetto

Anzi Debenedetto recently appeared as a guest star on the CBS drama “FBI” and has appeared in five episodes of the long-running web series “Or So the Story Goes.”

Hailing from New York City, DeBenedetto has performed in material ranging from Shakespeare to contemporary dramas, showing an adaptability for any role. Born in the Big Apple to an Italian-American father and a Chinese-American mother, DeBenedetto moved to Shanghai, China, when he was 8 years old. There he fell in love with drama, participating in shows as a member of Shanghai’s expat theater scene. He then moved back to the U.S. for high school, where he attended one of the nation’s top boarding schools, Phillips Exeter Academy. After graduating in 2018 DeBenedetto enrolled in NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, where he is pursuing a BFA in drama.

DeBenedetto has trained at multiple acting schools, including the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, The Neighborhood Playhouse, Margie Haber Studio and the Atlantic Theater Company. He also sings, plays the piano, writes songs and can speak fluent Chinese and beginner Italian. These days he is training at the Atlantic Theater Company to work as an actor in New York City.
