Cast Detail: Adhir Kalyan

Adhir Kalyan is best known for his scene-stealing series-regular role as Timmy in “Rules of Engagement” for five seasons, but he also played the fish-out-of-water Raja on the critically acclaimed series “Aliens in America” and the memorable Dr. Raj Paresh on “Nip/Tuck.” More recently Kalyan filmed a role on the CBS pilot “To Whom It May Concern” and starred opposite Lucy Hale in the feature A Nice Girl Like You. He also recently starred in the Amazon pilot “Making Friends” and recurred on the fifth season of “Arrested Development.” The actor’s other TV credits include playing the series lead in the ABC pilot “Square Roots” and the Fox series “Second Chance” as well as recurring on Jill Soloway’s Amazon series “I Love Dick,” with Kevin Bacon and Kathryn Hahn.

Kalyan’s feature credits include Paul Blart: Mall Cop and its sequel, opposite Kevin James; Youth in Revolt, with Michael Cera; No Strings Attached, alongside Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher; Up in the Air, opposite George Clooney; High School, with Adrien Brody; and Fired Up!, starring Eric Christian Olsen.
