Born in Tel Aviv, Israel in 1980, Adam Sanderson started directing when he was nine years old. Following the success of a music video he directed for his hip-hop band, Sanderson began directing numerous videos for Israeli musicians. These projects led him to direct award-winning TV trailers and commercials.
In 2010 Sanderson co-directed This Is Sodom, a feature film parodying the last days of Sodom. In 2013 he wrote and directed his second film, Funeral at Noon, a period drama adapted from the critically acclaimed Israeli novel of the same name. The film premiered at the San Sebastian Film Festival; subsequently, it garnered the Best Actress Award at the Haifa Film Festival, the Critics’ Award at the Montpellier Film Festival, and the Special Jury Award at the Cyprus Film Festival.
