Ibrahim, a rubber tapping labourer lives in the lonely mountain ranges and is trying to leave behind memories of a traumatic monsoon landslide. At loggerheads with his misanthropic father and irreverent brother, his only comfort is Sumathi, his supportive neighbour and Premachandran, her brother. On a fateful night, an injured cop barges into his house with a 17 year old prisoner and seeks refuge. When a powerful enemy burning with vengeance follows them into his house, Ibrahim is forced to confront testing questions about his own beliefs and convictions. Kuruthi is a story about how enduring human relations that transcend boundaries struggle to survive trials of hatred and prejudice.
