Cast Detail: Omid Memar

Omid Memar is a young actor who is already a familiar face on the small screen in Germany. He recently played an important role in the miniseries “M: A City Hunts a Murderer” and was seen in the telefilm “Vier Saiten” (“Four Strings”). He will next be seen in the new series “Blutige Anfänger.” Memar has appeared in episodes of the long-running police procedurals “Tatort,” “SOKO 5113” and “Morden im Norden.”

Memar hails from an Iranian family but was born in Vienna. He lived there for years and gained his first experience with acting by participating in school plays beginning in the first grade. Memar moved to Munich with his family in 2008, where he graduated from a French school with a double diploma in German and French. Memar landed a lead role in the 2015 feature Fünf Freunde 4 (Five Friends 4) and the following year he starred in a short film, Invention of Trust, that won the Student Academy Award for Best Foreign Film.  The actor speaks German, Persian, French and English fluently. He recently moved to Berlin to take the next step in his music career and to study.
