The full-season slate features 12 divisional showdowns and another special Black Friday Football presentation, featuring the Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs hosting the Las Vegas Raiders. Thursday Night Football officially kicks off its third season of exclusive coverage on Thursday, September 12 at 7:00 p.m. ET, when the high-powered Miami Dolphins battle the AFC East Champion Buffalo Bills.
Prime Video presents 17 total games throughout its regular and postseason schedule, featuring all 14 teams that advanced to the postseason. . Each Thursday night, pregame coverage begins live and onsite at 7:00 p.m. ET / 4:00 p.m. PT with TNF Tonight, with kickoff set for 8:15 p.m. ET. Following each game, Prime Video delivers an unparalleled lineup of postgame coverage with the always entertaining TNF Postgame Show and TNF Nightcap, which features Stars of the Game at the on-field set, previews of the upcoming weekend’s NFL action, and much more in a unique blend of sports and late-night revelry. Exclusive coverage of TNF is among the growing lineup of live sports offerings that come with Prime, which delivers savings, convenience and entertainment, all in a single membership.
TNF’s renowned on-air team returns for its third season of coverage and features legendary play-by-play announcer Al Michaels and Emmy Award-winning analyst Kirk Herbstreit in the main broadcast booth, with sideline reports from Kaylee Hartung. Host Charissa Thompson, along with analysts and former NFL stars Andrew Whitworth, Tony Gonzalez, Ryan Fitzpatrick, and Richard Sherman, comprise TNF’s pregame, halftime and postgame coverage. Taylor Rooks provides weekly features with the NFL’s brightest stars, and seasoned journalist Albert Breer contributes reports and analysis from around the league. The incomparable Marshawn Lynch also returns to TNF, with his wildly entertaining and Emmy Award-nominated ‘N ‘Yo City segments throughout the season.
Thursday Night Football on Prime Video continues to upgrade its technology enhancements designed to evolve the enjoyment of live sports beyond a one-way linear relationship and into a connected and customized online experience. Last season, TNF earned its second consecutive Sports Emmy Award for Outstanding Interactive Experience in May, following a season that attracted a +24% viewership increase over the previous year.
This season, TNF’s best-in-class experience for fans once again originates from a state-of-the-art fleet of mobile production units anchored by “Prime One,” the command center that produces each game in 1080p native high dynamic range (HDR) video and Dolby Surround Sound audio. Each game is delivered with ultra-low latency via Prime Video’s proprietary, end-to-end live streaming technology. The robust lineup of production equipment features 50+ cameras that cover every angle of the action, giving each TNF presentation a distinctive, big-game feel.
Prime Vision with Next Gen Stats
TNF’s weekly alternate broadcast, Prime Vision with Next Gen Stats, continues to stand as a next-generation viewing experience for fans. Prime Vision’s on-screen graphic overlays, distinctive vantage points from TNF’s All-22 camera angle, and in-game reports from Analytics Expert Sam Schwartzstein, present fans with an opportunity to place themselves in the coach’s shoes, read plays like a quarterback, and learn more about the game that they love. The wealth of statistics and analytics available on Prime Vision make it a can’t-miss destination for fans who play fantasy football. In addition, Prime Vision serves as an essential laboratory for experiments and an incubator for innovations that may eventually advance to the main broadcast.
Among Prime Vision’s many innovations, the AI-powered ‘Defensive Alerts’ feature emerged as a breakthrough last season, and is the first predictive behavior AI model ever employed within a live NFL broadcast. Driven by a proprietary deep learning network that gets stronger as more plays unfold, Defensive Alerts tracks the movements of defensive players before the snap and identifies “players of interest” in real time that are likely to rush the quarterback. Defensive Alerts immediately connected with fans and media, prompting Peter King to write, “I might have seen the future of football on TV Thursday night,” after the feature made its debut. This season, Defensive Alerts will be featured during every TNF main broadcast.
As previously announced, Prime Video is also set to present a new set of AI-powered innovations – called Prime Insights – throughout the season that bring fans closer to the action than ever before. Click HERE for more information on what TNF will be introducing during the 2024 season.

Additional details surrounding integrations, exclusive deals and special features will be announced later in the season.
