Scott Koondel is an Emmy award winning executive producer of Judy Justice, the landmark courtroom program featuring Judge Judy Sheindlin from Amazon Freevee, Amazon’s free streaming service, now entering its second season. Koondel also serves as an Executive Producer of Tribunal which is set to stream on Amazon Freevee.
Koondel is also the President and CEO of Sox Entertainment which packages, produces and licenses programming for broadcast, cable and streaming platforms. It also advises media companies on business strategies related to licensing, MVPDs, direct-to-consumer services and M&A initiatives.
Prior to Sox, Koondel was Executive Vice President and Chief Corporate Content Licensing Officer for CBS Corporation from 2012 through 2018. In this role, Koondel was responsible for developing and executing a coordinated company strategy designed to maximize revenue from the licensing and distribution of content across each company’s business units, including CBS Studios, CBS Tel

At CBS, Koondel orchestrated groundbreaking licensing agreements for The CW programming with Hulu and Netflix. He was responsible for executing the CW/Netflix deal, which is recorded as the largest non-sports licensing transaction, eclipsing his previous CW transaction with Hulu. He established a new model to finance original scripted summer programming by licensing upfront streaming windows. Koondel also packaged and created the series as well as the sales and marketing strategy for original programming such as the return of American’s Next Top Model (VH1), Hip Hop Squares (VH1), Drop the Mic (TBS), Carpool Karaoke (Apple) and Just Another Immigrant (SHOWTIME).
